News & Updates

Following the Regulation 14 Consultation the Steering Committee and volunteers have been working hard to consider all of the comments received and take them into account as we progress towards submission of the Plan.

The draft submission version of the Steyning Neighbourhood Development Plan and its supporting documents will be considered by the Parish Council at an Extraordinary Full Parish Council on Wednesday 27th November 2019 at 7:30pm in the Steyning Centre. The Agenda for this meeting can be downloaded here. The Parish Council will be considering whether the plan should be submitted to Horsham District Council under Regulation 15 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

Copies of the draft submission plan and its supporting documents can be found below:

The Parish Council would like to thank everyone who has engaged in the process to date including residents, landowners, local businesses, statutory consultees and other groups/bodies. Their valuable contributions throughout the preparation process have shaped the plan being submitted today.

If you have any queries regarding the Steyning Neighbourhood Plan please contact the Parish Council office on 01903 812042 during office hours (weekdays 9.00am – 4.00pm) and someone will be happy to assist.

Thank you so much to everyone who responded to the Regulation 14 Consultation. We have received just under 200 responses to the consultation from the community, interested organisations and statutory consultees.

The Steering Committee is now looking at every response received and is considering whether any modifications should be made to the draft Plan and its supporting evidence. Once this work is complete the updated documents will be put before the Parish Council and if approved will be submitted to Horsham District Council (HDC) under Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations. We expect to submit the plan to HDC before the end of November 2019 as requested by them.

Please keep an eye on this website for more information - as soon as there is a further update it will appear here.

As always, if you have any queries about the plan and you can't find the answer on this website please contact the Parish Council office on 01903 812042 during office hours (weekdays 9.00am – 4.00pm) and someone will be happy to assist.
